Praying for Healing for our World..."if My people which are called by My Name shall humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, heal their land, and forgive their sins."  2 Chron. 7:14.  Father keep our people safe as we protest the injustices amidst this pandemic.

In the name of Christ Jesus, our Savior.  Amen.

Our Mission

The mission of Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and enviromental needs of all people by spreading Christ's liberating gospel through word and deed.  At every level of the Connection and in every local church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the A.M.E. Chruch evolved: that is to seek out and save the lost, and serve the needy through a continuing program of preaching the gospel, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, housing the homeless, cheering the fallen, providing jobs for the jobless, administering to the needs of those in prisons, hospital, nursing homes, asylums, and mental institutions, seniors citizens' homes, caring for the sick, the shut-in, the mentally and socially disturbed, and encouraging thrift and economic advancement.

Pastor and Sister Alexander invite you to come and share the warm spirit of the people of God as we worship the Lord together at Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church.  We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve God in this high honor.  It is only by the Grace of God that we share these liberties before us.   So we welcome all to celebrate the Gift of Life given to us through the Blood of Christ.   It is with boldness that we lift up Christ, the Cross, and the Banner on which stands our faith.  We desire only that the Word of God be heard, felt, and lived in our lives and shared so that others my know that the God we serve: "has no respect of persons."

From the Pastor's Pen:   Thought for the Week:

We lift up Mothers today! We thank You Father, for all mothers and the sacrifices, especially, those little things that brighten each day. Just as God gives to each flower, a little fresh dew morning by morning, He gives mothers that special touch of love to refresh their heart each day.

Paul said, "I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and I'm sure dwells in you as well." 2 Timothy 1:5

Prayer: Gracious Father in Heaven, we pause on this Mother's Day to say, Thank You for our loving mothers today and those who are "Present with the Lord." We ask that You comfort all mothers, keeping them through every struggle with Your far-reaching love!  In the Name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.
